Tony Chung

Tony Chung has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tony is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at SecurityPal, a platform that helps companies complete security questionnaires efficiently. Prior to this, they held the same position at Stealth.

Tony also worked at Compass, where they initially served as a Senior Software Engineer II from February 2019 to August 2021 before transitioning into the role of Engineering Manager from August 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Compass, Tony worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Contactually from April 2018 to February 2019.

Tony's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at ID.me from March 2015 to March 2018, where they served as a Tech Lead from July 2017 to March 2018. Tony was responsible for internal tooling and services, as well as designing and developing web applications, APIs, and services to support mobile applications and partner integrations.

Furthermore, Tony served as a Web Development Fellow at TheHubEDU for a short period in early 2015.

Their earliest role was as a Web Developer at Decielo from November 2014 to March 2015. At Decielo, they developed tools and processes for migrating the finovate.com website from Movable Type to WP Engine. Tony also contributed to developing ETL scripts for various tasks, such as content scraping, blog post migration, image asset migration, and link rot detection and fixing.

Tony Chung attended the University of Southern California from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Architecture and Hardware Design. In 2014, they briefly attended Code Fellows for a Ruby on Rails Development Accelerator program, although they didn't obtain a degree from this institution.
