John Katko

John Katko is a seasoned legal and political professional with a diverse background in law enforcement and public service. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Hill East Group, LLC since January 2023, Katko previously held the position of Member of Congress for New York's 24th district from January 2015 to January 2023. Katko's extensive experience in the U.S. Department of Justice from 1995 to January 2014 included roles such as Organized Crime Prosecutor and Supervisor of the Narcotics Section, where oversight of high-level narcotics prosecutions was a key responsibility. Prior to that, Katko worked as a Senior Trial Attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, focusing on civil cases related to federal securities law violations. Katko holds a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Niagara University.
