Tom Kemp is an accomplished author and policy advisor with extensive experience in addressing the challenges posed by Big Tech. Currently serving as an author for Fast Company Press, Tom Kemp's award-winning book, "Containing Big Tech: How to Protect Our Civil Rights, Economy, and Democracy," examines the threats of online surveillance and tech monopolies, receiving acclaim as "essential reading." Tom also acts as a pro-bono policy advisor, notably contributing to the passage of California Senate Bill 362, which empowers consumers to manage their data privacy. As Managing Director of Kemp Au Ventures, Tom Kemp invests in seed and early-stage tech companies and holds positions as a seed investor in multiple organizations, including Amplifier Security and Holistic AI. Tom Kemp earned a Bachelor of Science in History and Computer Science from the University of Michigan in 1988.
