Paul Chalmers

Paul Chalmers is currently the SMETA Quality and Evolution Manager at Sedex, leading the adaptation of SMETA methodology and overseeing audit quality programs. Previously, they served as the Group Ethics Supervisor at G's, where they improved labor standards through training and compliance efforts, and as a Deputy Field Organiser for the Obama US Presidential Campaign in 2008. Paul also holds an MA in Food Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, U. of London, and has engaged in various roles related to food ethics and sustainability throughout their career.
