Sedulous is a lived-experience-led social consultancy working on complex social challenges. We support organisations to make better decisions by connecting lived experience with qualitative and quantitative evidence.

Our work sits at the intersection of community insight, research and institutional practice. We work alongside communities, VCSE organisations, public bodies, universities and funders to generate insight, design inclusive approaches, support learning and evaluation, and provide strategic advisory support. Through this, we help shape policies, services and programmes that are fairer, more effective and grounded in real-world experience.

Sedulous was formed in response to a common challenge: decisions that affect people’s lives are often made without a full understanding of how systems are experienced in practice. We exist to close that gap. By treating lived experience as essential knowledge rather than anecdote, we help organisations test assumptions, understand complexity and act with greater confidence and accountability.

Our approach combines community-led practice with rigour and structure. We use mixed methods, inclusive design and reflective learning to ensure insight is both meaningful and usable. We are particularly effective where challenges cut across sectors, disciplines or levels of power, and where traditional approaches have stalled or excluded key perspectives.

We are community-driven in how we work and principled in how we generate evidence. This allows us to build trusted partnerships and support decisions that are informed, responsible and capable of delivering lasting impact.
