David Lacklen is a Partner at Climate Capital since December 2023 and a Founding Partner at Seed9, which focuses on investing in transformational startups in emerging markets since June 2020. As a mentor for Techstars’ Boulder, Miami, and Payments Accelerators since June 2021, David Lacklen supports new ventures in navigating their growth. Previous experience includes a tenure at YouTube from April 2013 to February 2019, where responsibilities included Head of Product for Google Preferred & Premium Video in the Middle East and Emerging Markets. David Lacklen also held various positions at Google from August 2007 to March 2013 and worked as an Energy Engineer at EMCOR Energy Services. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Business Minor from Tulane University, along with a fellowship in Climate Tech for VCs from Terra.do.
