David Gorton

David Gorton has a wide range of work experience in various roles and positions.

Starting in 2000, they worked as a Software Engineer at iTango Software where they developed an XML/Servlet framework and implemented modules for an employee self-service application.

In 2001, David joined BEA Systems as a Senior Software Engineer and later became an Engineering Manager. David worked directly with customers to address software deficiencies, added requested features, and focused on scalability and ease of use. David also managed a 6-person development team and guided various teams through the software development lifecycle.

From 2007 to 2008, David worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Confio Software, responsible for design, documentation, and development of the Ignite PI web interface using Yahoo UI and AJAX.

In 2008, they joined Ping Identity as a Technical Marketing Manager and later became a Product Line Manager and Product Manager. David introduced a web access management solution into the IAM market, gathered requirements from customers, and generated over $3 million in demand. David also managed the design and development of a test automation system, which reduced regression test runs from two weeks to four hours.

In 2015, David worked as a Senior Product Manager at LogRhythm, and from 2016 to 2018, they held the same role at Percolate Inc.

In 2018, they became the Marketing Director at OverWatchID, and in 2019, they joined SeedBin as the Head of Product Management.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in product management, marketing, software development, team management, and customer engagement.

David Gorton attended Skyview High School from 1987 to 1991, during which they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Following this, they enrolled at Montana State University-Bozeman from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
