Garrett John

Garrett John has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Garrett started their career as a Team Member at UC Merced Society of Automotive Engineers from October 2011 to November 2012. After that, they worked as the Senior Capstone Design CFO at UC Merced, where they were responsible for financial records, purchase orders, and research on motion systems for security cameras. Garrett also participated in the "Innovate to Grow" competition and won first place.

Following this, Garrett worked as a Junior Research Specialist at the Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, and Automation Laboratory. Here, they collaborated with Pacific Gas and Electric to develop methane leak detection payloads for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Garrett designed testing infrastructure, calibrated sensors, conducted tests, and integrated payloads with Pixhawk auto pilots.

Additionally, Garrett worked as an Independent Contractor in UAS operations and as a Graduate Student at UC Merced. Garrett'smost recent position was as a Product Line Manager at SeekOps Inc., where they have been managing the SeekOps gas detection solution and leading the design and fabrication of sensors.

Garrett John completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Merced, between 2011 and 2015. In March 2020, they obtained a certification in Rapid Prototyping for Product Design from LinkedIn.
