Michael Sutcliffe

Michael Sutcliffe has extensive work experience in business development and management roles. Michael is currently serving as the Business Development Director for SeekOps Inc., responsible for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Owner/Director of Thrive Business Development Ltd., providing business development services for well technology providers for North Sea operations. Michael also co-founded ZeGen Energy and was a Grey Matters Cohort at Elevator UK.

Michael has held various positions at Oxford Flow, including Group Business Development Director, where they developed global business for unique valve technology in water distribution, gas distribution, and oil & gas sectors. Michael was also responsible for managing the global sales team and generating revenue budget.

Before that, they worked as the Business Development Manager for Blue Spark Energy Inc. and READ Cased Hole, where they introduced and developed North Sea business and led teams to grow business in Europe and Africa.

Additionally, Michael has experience as a Business Development Manager at IWC - Intelligent Well Controls and held multiple roles at Expro, including Well Technology Manager, Group Learning & Development - Cased Hole Services, Contract Services Manager, Global Account Manager, Electric Line Operations Manager, Business Development Manager in Russia, and Client Account Manager.

Michael Sutcliffe's education history begins in 1973, when they attended Ysgol Llanilltud Fawr. Michael completed their O levels at this school in 1978. From 1978 to 1980, they studied at UWC Atlantic College and earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. In 1981, they enrolled at the University of Southampton, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering and completed their BSc(Eng) in 1985. In 1994, Michael joined the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School for an MBA program, which they completed in 1995. Later, in 2015, they attended Heriot-Watt University and obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Petroleum Engineering.
