Michael W. has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Michael started their career in 2007 as a Summer Intern at Hilcorp, where they created production forecasts and supported a major divestment project. Michael then joined Statoil in 2008 and held several positions including Production Engineer, Senior Analyst, Senior Petroleum Engineer, and Principal Consultant, working on various projects related to business development, reservoir technology, and global strategy. In 2020, they served as a Board Observer at Reach Production Solutions and held Board Director positions at Micropower Energy and SeekOps Inc. In 2021, they became an Advisory Board Member at Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. In 2023, they joined Captura as a Director on the Board of Directors and also became a member of the Greentown Industry Leadership Council at Greentown Labs.
Michael W. completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2008. Later, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business.
