Wei Jiang

Field Application Scientist III at Seer

Wei Jiang started their work experience as a Teaching Assistant at Zhejiang University from an unknown start date to 2008. They then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center from May 2012 to May 2015, where they conducted regulatory research and established analytical methods for identifying and quantifying chemicals from bio-samples. Wei Jiang then became an Assistant Professor (teaching and research) at Zhejiang University from September 2015 to October 2018, where they focused on establishing liquid chromatography mass spectrometry methods and validating biomarkers for exposure in bio-samples. They continued their research career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute from October 2018 to April 2022, where they designed and implemented pre-clinical studies related to ER stress and UPR, using cell and animal models. Currently, Wei Jiang holds the position of Field Application Scientist III at Seer, starting in April 2022.

Wei Jiang earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medicine from Peking University between 2001 and 2005. From 2006 to 2008, Wei pursued a Master of medicine degree in Toxicology at Zhejiang University. Finally, from 2008 to 2012, Wei Jiang attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center and achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Toxicology.
