Daan Smit

Daan Smit is the General Counsel at SEG, where they actively contribute to the company's strategic direction and long-term planning while advising the Board on a variety of legal and business matters. Daan leads both the Legal and IT teams, overseeing high-value international player transfers and ensuring favorable outcomes through commercial negotiations. With a Master's degree in Private Law and dual Bachelor's degrees in Law and Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Daan has cultivated a strong international legal perspective, particularly in sports, contract, and employment law. Prior to their current role, Daan held legal positions at SEG and worked independently with DMS Support.
