Rutger Walgaard

Rutger Walgaard is currently serving as Legal Counsel at SEG since May 2023, following a brief tenure as a Legal Intern at Real Madrid C.F. earlier in 2023. Prior to these roles, Walgaard gained diverse experience as a Tennistrainer at Universitair Sportcentrum Leiden, Werkstudent at CITIUS Advocaten, and Student-stagiair at Aantjes Advocaten. Additional roles include working at Boekhandel De Kler B.V., ASA Talent, and Gracenote as a Uitzendkracht and Live Scorer Sports. Walgaard holds a Master of Laws - LLM in Sports Law from Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea and a Meester in de Rechten - LLM in Labour Law from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by a Bachelor in de Rechten - LLB in Entrepreneurship and Management from Leiden University. The educational foundation was established at Christelijk Gymnasium Utrecht, completing the Gymnasium degree.
