Guido Mertens

Guido Mertens is an experienced interim program manager specializing in land matters at Gemeente Lelystad since October 2021. In addition to this role, Guido has operated as an independent advisor and owner at Guido Mertens Advies / Stad en Ontwikkeling since July 2019, providing guidance to municipalities, provinces, and housing corporations in spatial planning and development. Guido has a wealth of experience in developing societal land policies, crisis management, and complex area developments. Furthermore, Guido holds positions as a supervisory board member at various organizations, including Stichting Kindante and Maasvallei Maastricht, and serves as an educator for Stichting Orbiters and multiple educational institutions. With a strong passion for the field, Guido actively contributes to knowledge sharing and curriculum development related to public finance and spatial development.
