Jim Kent

Market VP - Operations at Segra

Jim Kent started their work experience in 1989 with the United States Air Force, where they served in various roles such as Central Office Supervisor, Training NCOIC, Telephone Systems Crew Chief, and Outside Plant Tech. During their time there, they supervised technicians, performed trunk and traffic analysis, and conducted maintenance for DMS100/200 and two Meridian 1 switches. Jim also developed and implemented a training program for 39 technicians and programmed and installed digital PBX's and 1A2 key systems. In 2000, they joined Spirit Communications as a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Operations, where they worked until 2018. Since 2018, they have been working at Segra, first as a Director and then as a Sr. Director Field Operations.

Jim Kent attended the Community College of the Air Force from 1999 to 2000, where they earned an AAS degree in Electronic Systems Technology. Jim has also obtained several additional certifications, including a Project Management Certificate from Google in 2022, an Adtran Technical Support Professional - Internetworking (ATSP) certification from ADTRAN in 2010, and various other certifications in telecommunications and networking.
