Mark Smith

Mark Smith serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Seismic Software, leading the Cloud Platform Services Engineering team to develop a cloud-hosted enterprise SaaS content management platform focused on high availability, robustness, and security. Prior to this role, Mark held various significant positions at PacketVideo, including Vice President of Software Product Development and Vice President of Engineering, where responsibilities included guiding product strategy, overseeing mobile and web software development, and managing transitions to Android and iOS platforms. Earlier career experiences include a role as Control Systems Test Engineer at Solar Turbines and serving as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy. Mark holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
