Alan Smith has worked as a Mechanical Engineer for over 30 years. alan began their career in 1989 as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Anagraph, Inc. alan then moved on to Sony Trans Com in 1991, Panasonic in 2002, Rockwell Collins in 2004, Thales in 2006, Eaton Corporation in 2008, and Zodiac Inflight Innovations in 2013. At Zodiac Inflight Innovations, they increased customer competitiveness and profits by creating a hybrid system and a new generation High Speed System Control Unit. In 2017, they joined Astronics Test Systems as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they increased company profitability by improving MTBF of a 600W Burn-In Unit and meeting an Alpha customer's aggressive delivery schedule. In 2018, they joined both SEKAI Electronics, Inc. and N2 Imaging Systems as a Mechanical Engineer. At N2 Imaging Systems, they solved tight scheduling issues and reduced costs by designing tooling with Nm adjustment capabilities.

Alan Smith completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from North Warwickshire College of Technology and an apprenticeship in Machine Tool Design and Fabrication from Alfred Herbert Machine Tools in Coventy, UK.
