Francis Chonya

Francis Chonya is a skilled Data Analyst at Selcom Tanzania since August 2021, responsible for supporting teams in understanding business data through the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and metrics that enhance product performance. With a focus on improving data collection and quality, Francis also develops statistical and optimization models to scale product features. Prior experience includes an internship at GA Insurance Tanzania in 2020, where responsibilities involved health insurance claims processing, preparation of quotations, and underwriting, as well as an earlier internship at Selcom Tanzania in 2019, where contributions included auditing daily reports and managing data for the Mastercard QR project. Francis holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Dar es Salaam, complemented by advanced and ordinary level education in Science from Feza Boys Secondary and High School.
