Ian Whitestone

Ian Whitestone is the Co-Founder and CEO of SELECT, a company established in June 2022 that specializes in Snowflake optimization and cost management. Prior to this role, Ian served as Data Science Lead at Shopify from January 2019 to June 2022, following earlier positions at Capital One from July 2016 to December 2018, where Ian held various titles including Principal Data Scientist. Ian's career began at Cenovus Energy as an Operational Process Engineer from May 2014 to August 2015. Ian holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering with a Professional Internship from Queen's University and a High School Diploma from Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School.
