MacKayla Clawson

Mackayla Clawson is an experienced Structural Engineer, currently employed at Select Structural Engineering, LLC since February 2022, where responsibilities include preparing design criteria, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and reports for structural design work, as well as designing building structural systems. Previously, Mackayla worked at Shive-Hattery from May 2021 to January 2022 as a Structural Engineer 1, providing design and drafting support on various steel, concrete, and masonry structures, and conducting structural analyses using various software. Prior experience includes serving as a Structural Engineering Technician in Training at Carr Engineering, LLC from January 2020 to May 2021, focusing on reviewing drawings and 3D modeling with Revit, and working as an Engineering Intern at Hodge Construction from May 2019 to May 2021, managing construction projects and preparing relevant documents. Mackayla holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Western Illinois University and studied Civil Engineering at the University of Iowa.
