Development Education Facilitator at Self Help Africa

Patsy Toland is an experienced educational consultant and facilitator with a background in development education and innovative teaching. Since May 2017, Patsy has been working as an Independent Education Consultant, leading workshops for Community Education projects and serving as a Project Advisor for Global Education. Currently involved with Self Help Africa since 2013 as a Development Education Facilitator, Patsy promotes the organization's development approach in post-primary schools and community projects. Previously, Patsy held the position of Development Education Coordinator at Self Help Africa from 2002 to 2012, focusing on advocacy and education related to sustainable development. Additionally, Patsy served as Principal at Ballydowd Special Care Unit from 1998 to 2001 and as a Secondary School Teacher at Colaiste Phadraig from 1975 to 1999, where various extracurricular activities were developed. Patsy holds a Master of Arts in Development Education from the University of London and a BA in Arts, specializing in Geography and English, from University College Dublin.
