Mark Combs has extensive experience in the healthcare and insurance industry. Mark began their career as a Certified Financial Planner at John Hancock in 1998 and later worked as an Employee Benefit Specialist at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. In 2002, they joined Blue Water Benefits / Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. as an Owner/Senior Consultant, where they successfully grew the company and developed a third party administrator sister company. In 2011, Blue Water Benefits was acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher.
In 2013, Mark Combs founded Healthcare Reporting, an organization specializing in delivering smart and affordable services to various players in the healthcare marketplace. Mark also founded ACA Reporting Service, where they utilized their expertise in the insurance industry to serve clients and navigate changing regulations.
In 2016, Mark Combs became the CEO of Self Insured Reporting, leveraging their experience as an employee benefit broker to provide better solutions for self insured groups. Throughout their career, Mark Combs has demonstrated a high degree of technical expertise and a commitment to client service.
Mark Combs has a solid educational background in the field of finance and economics. From 2005 to 2007, they attended the CFA Institute and obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder qualification, specializing in Investment Management. Prior to that, between 1997 and 2003, they studied at The American College of Financial Services. Although the specific degree name and field of study are unavailable for this period, it can be inferred that their focus remained in finance. Their earliest formal education was at Wofford College from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a BS & BA degree. Their studies encompassed Economics, Political Economy, and Philosophy.
