Bart Hesselink

Bart Hesselink is a senior scientific officer at Self-screen B.V. with a PhD in Molecular Pathology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. They have extensive experience in valorizing fundamental research into molecular human diagnostic assays, particularly in the areas of HPV and methylation assays for early cervical cancer detection. Bart previously served as a post-doctoral fellow at VU medisch centrum from 2008 to 2015, focusing on the development of diagnostic kits, and briefly held the position of Manager Research and Development at Self-screen B.V. in 2015, where they developed IVDR certified molecular assays for cancer detection.
