J. Jay McMahon

J. Jay McMahon has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. J. Jay started their career at Case Western Reserve University in 1995 and worked there as an Engineer until 2000. J. Jay then moved on to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and worked as an Engineer until 2008. During this time, they gained expertise in micro- and nanofabrication process engineering. In 2008, McMahon joined SEMATECH as a 3D Integration Lead Engineer, where they collaborated with fabrication groups and member companies internationally. J. Jay later joined GE Global Research as a Micro- and Nanofabrication Process Engineer, contributing to research and development. In 2015, they joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES as an MTS, BEOL Integration, focusing on interconnect and contact levels research and development. J. Jay worked on various technology nodes, including 7nm, 5nm, and 3nm. In 2018, McMahon became a Director of Operations, consultant at SelfArray, before joining PsiQuantum in 2019 as an R&D Engineer.

Jay then pursued further studies at The University of Akron, obtaining their Master of Science degree in Physics from 1993 to 1995. Following this, McMahon attended Case Western Reserve University from 1995 to 2000, focusing on Electrical Engineering. J. Jay did not complete a degree at Case Western Reserve University. Finally, McMahon attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2000 to 2008, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical Engineering.
