Sandy Shi

Data Science Intern at SelfDecode

Sandy was born and raised in Beijing. She received her dual-major degree in Mathematics and Engineering from Smith College, and is now pursuing her M.Sc.Eng in Biomedical Engineering (with a focus on Biomedical Data Science) at Johns Hopkins University (Maryland). She joined the SelfDecode team as a Data Science Intern working on local ancestry inference research using deep learning methods. The healthcare industry is her passion.

She has previous experience working on various healthcare projects that included the use of MRI image analysis, medical device health monitoring, medical intervention outcome prediction, and others.
