Alison Muir

Alison Muir has extensive work experience in the field of procurement. Alison is currently serving as the Head of Procurement at Selfridges since January 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Dunelm from May 2017 to January 2023. Before joining Dunelm, they worked as the Head of Procurement (GNFR) at Halfords from December 2011 to May 2017. Alison also had a brief role as the Director at Positive Procurement Solutions Ltd for two months in 2011. Alison Muir has also worked as the Head of Procurement at Europackaging UK Ltd. from July 2010 to September 2011 and as the Director at Positive Procurement Solutions Ltd. from February 2010 to July 2010. Earlier in their career, they served as the Group Procurement Director at TDG from January 2007 to December 2009. Alison also held the position of Head of Procurement at UPS from 2006 to 2007 and at Lynx Express from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they worked as a Purchasing Manager at TDG from 2002 to 2004.

Alison Muir received a BSc Hons in Applied Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde in 1989. Alison then went on to obtain an MSc in Technology Management from the University of Stirling in 1990. Additionally, they also completed a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde in 1989.
