Sharlene John

Sharlene John currently serves as the Head of DEI, Recruitment & Onboarding at Selfridges, a position held since 2021, where responsibilities include designing and implementing DEI, talent acquisition, and onboarding strategies while managing COE teams across various business functions. Prior to this role, Sharlene was the Deputy Head of Resourcing at Harrods from 2018 to 2021, where leadership of in-house talent acquisition teams encompassed recruitment across all departments, including specialized concepts. Sharlene’s extensive experience in the recruitment sector began as a Recruitment Consultant at BS Social Care and Reed in the early 2000s, culminating in a Managing Director position at Tradewind Recruitment - Social Care from 2009 to 2018, focusing on recruiting healthcare professionals for social care. Additionally, Sharlene led the Social Care Professionals Division at Bluecare social care from 2003 to 2009.
