Selkie Educational Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organisation exploring how play, creativity, and collaboration can transform learning, communication, and community engagement.

We design and facilitate games, workshops, and educational tools that help people explore complex themes — from emotional intelligence and communication to sustainability and social inclusion — through play and creative collaboration.

Through partnerships, trainings, and Erasmus+ projects, Selkie supports educators, facilitators, and communities across Europe to bring creativity and reflection into learning and everyday life.

Our Core Activities:
🎲 Applied Game Design & Creative Tools
We create playful educational tools that inspire reflection, empathy, and collaboration, such as:
> Forgotten Gods - Home & Heritage in Our Hands (exploring identity and inclusion through LARP methodology)

> Climate4All – Games for Education on Sustainability (developing green competence through play)

> InTension – Meaningful Conflict Resolution through LARP Methodology (supporting mental health and communication skills)

🧭 Facilitation & Training
We offer workshops and training for educators, facilitators, and youth workers — focusing on experiential learning, creative facilitation, and participatory design methods.

🤝 Collaborative Design & Research
We co-create with communities and international partners to develop prototypes, toolkits, and frameworks that make learning more engaging and inclusive.

🌍 European Partnerships
Selkie coordinates and participates in Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships and mobility projects across Europe, advancing innovation in education, social-emotional learning, and sustainability.
