Ian Roberts has over 35 years of experience in the engineering and project management fields, primarily at Sellafield Ltd since 2001. Currently serving as Senior Client Project Lead and previously as Design Assurance Manager within the Intelligent Client Lead Team, Ian has been instrumental in the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) project, a major initiative valued at up to £7 billion over 20 years. Prior experience includes Project Engineering Manager for the Silos Direct Encapsulation Plant project, focusing on hazard and risk reduction of legacy Intermediate Level Wastes and overseeing technology development and engineering design solutions. Ian's career began at BNFL from 1988 to 2001, where roles included Control, Electrical & Instrumentation Responsible Engineer and Design Engineer. Ian holds a First Class MEng (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University.
