John Clifford

John Clifford has over two decades of expertise in waste management and decommissioning within the nuclear industry. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy and Technical for Retrievals Higher Activity Waste at Sellafield Ltd since January 2011, John has held various leadership roles focused on waste conditioning and safe storage. Previously, John was the Waste and Environment Manager for the Windscale Piles Decommissioning Project with UKAEA, and a Project Engineer/Project Manager at AMEC, overseeing critical project deliverables and resource management. John began a career as a Safety Analyst at TGF, where safety documentation and risk assessments were produced. John holds a Master's Degree in Chemistry from UMIST and a high school diploma from Keswick School.
