Matt McCarry

Matt McCarry is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in the nuclear industry, currently serving as Head of Operations at Sellafield Ltd since February 2013. Matt's expertise encompasses active effluent management and ensuring operational readiness for new nuclear facilities, along with a focus on risk reduction within high hazard environments. Prior roles include Senior Operations Manager and Operations Manager, where Matt managed frontline operational delivery and readiness for major projects, notably a £400m nuclear waste storage facility. Earlier in the career, Matt held positions at Copeland Borough Council as a Property Surveyor and at Capita Symonds as a Building Surveying Technician. Matt holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick and a Foundation Degree in Building Surveying from Northumbria University.
