Michael Durand has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sellsy since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Meero as the CTO from October 2022 to March 2023 and as the VP of Engineering from March 2021 to November 2022.
Before Meero, Michael was associated with MoneyVoice, where they held the role of Board Member from January 2019 to March 2021 and CTO from May 2016 to December 2018. As the CTO, they were responsible for heading the engineering, software, and talent management divisions. Michael designed and implemented technical solutions, managed talent acquisition processes, opened a new office in France, and streamlined production processes and tools.
Michael also worked as the CTO at Kartable from January 2019 to March 2021. Michael joined LocoMobi Inc. as the CTO from July 2015 to April 2016, where they led software and hardware engineering teams and established Agile methodologies.
Prior to that, Michael served as the VP of Engineering at QuickPay Corporation from July 2012 to July 2015. Michael played a crucial role in hiring and leading a team, implementing Agile methodologies and continuous integration, and defining the technical architecture for a new platform capable of handling higher transaction volumes.
Before transitioning into tech roles, Michael gained experience at Butterflive as the CEO from 2009 to 2012 and at The Coding Machine as a partner from 2005 to 2012. At The Coding Machine, they achieved profitability in the first fiscal year, grew a team of PMs and Engineering Managers, and launched an independent product with an American office.
Michael started their career as an Analyst at Accenture from February 2004 to November 2005. Overall, their experience showcases their expertise in technology leadership, strategic planning, talent management, and process optimization.
From 1998 to 2003, Michael Durand attended INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, where they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering, specializing in Signal Processing.
