CEO & Cofounder

Scott Black is the CEO and Cofounder of Seluna Ltd, a company established in Glasgow in August 2022 that focuses on enabling remote monitoring and diagnosis of paediatric sleep disorders through an advanced machine learning-driven Software as a Medical Device and a child-friendly wearable. Black's academic journey includes a PhD in Medical Devices from the University of Strathclyde, where research involves optimizing blood perfusion in vascular grafts. Previous roles include project supervision during MEng research in computational fluid dynamics at the same university, a visiting research position at Terumo Aortic, and research assistant roles at the Fraunhofer Institute and NMI TT Pharmaservices, focusing on microfluidic chip design and electrophysiological analysis of pancreatic islets. Black earned a Master of Science in Medical Devices & Healthcare Technologies and a Master of Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow, respectively.
