Helen Hungate

Helen Hungate is a Senior Data Scientist at SemanticBits, part of ICF since October 2021. Prior to this role, Helen served as an Instructional Associate for the Data Science Immersive program at General Assembly, providing guidance on a wide range of statistical and machine learning topics. Helen's earlier experience includes roles as a Researcher & Hatchery Manager at Ocean Era, where responsibilities encompassed experimental design and data analysis, and as a Clinical Research Intern with the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program. Additional research positions included work at the Oceanwide Science Institute and SPAWAR, focusing on marine mammal acoustic data and environmental assessments. Helen holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biodiversity & Conservation from UC San Diego, a Data Science Immersive certificate from General Assembly, and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
