James Becwar has worked in the software engineering industry since 2005. James began their career as a Programmer/Analyst at Resource Data, Inc. in 2005, and was promoted to Senior Programmer/Analyst in the same company. In 2010, they joined Hearst Digital News as a Core Platform Architect, and also worked at The Greensheet as both a Software Architect and Senior Developer. In 2014, they moved to Knomatic as a Software Architect and then to SemanticBits in 2018 as a Principle Software Engineer.

James Becwar attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2000 to 2008, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2006, followed by a Master of Software Engineering degree in 2008. In 2011, they obtained a Sitecore Certified Developer certification from Sitecore.
