Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith has a diverse work experience in the electrical engineering field. Christopher started their career in 1999 at SembCorp Utilities, where they worked as an Electrical Technician and HV Operations Technician. Christopher was responsible for commissioning work and operated various equipment. In 2013, they joined TEES COMPONENTS LIMITED as an Electrical Engineer, leading maintenance activities and managing contractors. Christopher then worked at J&B Recycling Ltd as an Electrical Engineer from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Electrical Technician at Sembcorp Energy UK.

Christopher Smith attended the University of Teesside from 1998 to 2000, where they earned an HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Christopher also obtained a Level three certificate in First Line Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management. In 2019, they completed the National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH. Christopher is currently pursuing a Managing Safely degree in Health and Safety from IOSH, expected to be completed in 2022. Christopher holds an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance from EMTA Awards Limited, and a NVQ L3 Diploma in Process Industries Operations, Tech support from PAA\VQ-SET. Christopher also completed a four-year Indentured Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Apprenticeship from Teesside Training Enterprise and a City and Guilds in 18th edition BS7671 regulations.
