Ryan is a sustainable growth-minded consumer investor focused on partnering with impactful business builders and change-makers. You will find Ryan rolling up his sleeves with management teams, aligning investors and stakeholders to maximize value creation, and optimizing strategic plans in the boardroom. Ryan blends real-world operator DNA with a track record of investing and scaling emerging brands.

Previously Ryan was a Director at Emil Capital, a private investment firm focusing on consumer products, ecommerce, and digital media. Ryan led the firms’ investment in Dane Creek Capital Corp/United Raw Pet Foods and served on the board of directors. He focused on expanding the firms’ presence in modern food and wellness, pet, retail, and sustainable apparel brands.

Prior to Emil Capital, Ryan was a finance leader at General Mills and Co-Founded 301 INC, General Mills’ venture capital arm and new business development team, where he led all investments, capital allocation, and fund management. His prior finance operational roles across the supply chain, cereal operating unit, and sales were instrumental in the growth acceleration and collaborative business partnerships across 301 INC’s strategic investments. Ryan encourages servant leadership and brought this philosophy to his board governance roles across Purely Elizabeth, Kite Hill, Urban Remedy, and GoodBelly.

Ryan began his career working with clients to execute mergers and acquisitions, debt recapitalizations, and private capital fundraisings. Ryan holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
