Daniel Ostertag

Daniel Ostertag has extensive work experience as a database administrator and programmer/analyst. Daniel started their career in 1984 at The Architects Collaborative, where they worked as a programmer/analyst. Daniel then moved on to Index Group and Multi-Tasking Systems, also working as a programmer/analyst in both companies. In 1995, they joined Creative Computing as a programmer/analyst before joining Visibility in 1996 as a database administrator. Daniel then worked at Navisite as a database administrator from 2000 to 2001. Daniel joined Visaer, Inc. in 2001 as a database administrator until 2005. Currently, they are the Director of Database Administration at Semcasting, Inc., where they lead the data engineering team and has various responsibilities such as data manipulation, maintenance, analysis, SQL query writing, database administration tasks, performance tuning, script writing, user support, and mentoring.

Daniel Ostertag received a Bachelor's degree in History from Boston College, which they completed between 1979 and 1983. Later, between 1987 and 1994, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University.
