Sandra Cochrane

Sandra Cochrane has a diverse work experience in various roles related to business incubators and entrepreneurship. Sandra started their career in 2000 as a Manager at Southwest Michigan First, where they worked on business development activities and coordinated innovation forums. In 2003, they became the Chief Operating Officer at the Southwest Michigan Innovation Center, overseeing all aspects of the organization and representing it to various entities. From 2008 to 2017, Sandra worked as a Technology Business Consultant at the Michigan Small Business Development Center, assisting high tech entrepreneurs with their business strategies and maximizing the potential of business incubator facilities. In 2009, they also served as the President of the Michigan Business Incubator Association, promoting the value of business incubators and helping existing incubators succeed. Furthermore, Sandra was a Board Member of the National Business Incubation Association from 2009 to 2015. Their most recent position was as Assistant Dean at the WMed Innovation Center, which they started in 2017. Sandra has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Western Michigan University, teaching courses on strategic business solutions.
