Jonathan Werrett

Jonathan Werrett has extensive work experience in the field of security and information technology. Jonathan currently serves as the Head of Security at Semgrep, where they started in 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Advisor at Semgrep starting in 2020. Before joining Semgrep, Jonathan held the position of Head of Security (Fitbit) at Google from 2021 to 2022. Jonathan was also the Head of Information Security at Fitbit from 2018 to 2021. Previously, they served as the Head of Application Security at Palantir Technologies from 2015 to 2018. Jonathan's experience also includes being the Head of Security and Operations at AXON VIBE AG from 2014 to 2015, and as a Managing Consultant at Trustwave's SpiderLabs from 2011 to 2014. Jonathan worked as a Senior Security Consultant at NCC Group from 2010 to 2011 and as a Manager at Ernst & Young from 2007 to 2009. Earlier in their career, Jonathan worked as a Service Delivery Manager at Multimap from 2004 to 2006 and as a Web Applications Developer at Aussiehome.com from 2000 to 2004.

Jonathan Werrett earned a Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences from The University of Western Australia, where they attended from 2000 to 2003. Later on, they pursued an Executive MBA from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, completing the program from 2011 to 2015.
