Daniel Karlsen has a diverse work experience spanning a variety of industries and roles.

Daniel started their career in 2005 as a Shop Employee at ICA Norge AS, where they handled inventory, ordering, cashier duties, and eventually took on the responsibility of overseeing the store during evening shifts.

In 2009, Karlsen worked as a Promoter at Retail House Norway, where they promoted new products through driving assignments, sampling, and marketing campaigns.

From 2010 to 2011, they served as a Check-In Agent at Tumlare Corporation, responsible for managing passenger embarkation and disembarkation for Royal Caribbean cruise ships in Oslo.

In 2011, Karlsen worked as a Sales Consultant at Emerio Media AS, leading a sales team and achieving high sales figures for Canal Digital's video packages.

Daniel then joined Software Innovation – Part of Tieto Group in 2012, starting as a Trainee and gaining experience in various areas including product management, sales and marketing, and business consultancy. Daniel was later promoted to Sales Representative and subsequently to Sales Executive, focusing on solution sales of ECM (enterprise content management) software.

Karlsen continued their career at Tieto as a Sales Manager from 2016 to 2017, where they took on additional responsibilities such as strategic initiatives to boost sales and selling software solutions and services from the Tieto portfolio.

In 2017, Karlsen worked as an Account Manager at Experis Norge, delivering IT consultants to clients in the banking sector and managing client relationships and bids.

Daniel also took on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager at Montaag in San Francisco as part of an entrepreneurship program, where they built the go-to-market strategy for a high-end espresso machine and supported the startup with their experience and qualifications.

Lastly, since 2018, Karlsen has been the Chief Commercial Officer at Semine AS, a company specialized in automating the accountancy sector through robotization. Daniel previously worked there as a Sales Manager, contributing to the development of SEMINE, an account robot with artificial intelligence that automates billing and invoice processing.

Throughout their career, Karlsen has demonstrated a strong sales and marketing background, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in client management and strategy development.

Daniel Karlsen has a diverse education history. In 2009 to 2012, they attended BI Norwegian Business School and obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Marketing. Following that, in 2011 to 2012, they pursued further studies at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and completed a Bachelor's degree in the same field. Later, in 2017, Daniel enrolled in Master's level studies at both the University of California, Berkeley and The Norwegian School of Entrepreneurship, focusing on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Additionally, they acquired additional certifications including COUP MODULE 2: "SLIDE-DESIGN" from COUP Movement - Commandments of Outstanding Presentations in March 2019, and "SPIN selling" from Huthwaite International in January 2016.
