Michael Gilbert

Michael Gilbert is the Founder and CEO of Semios. Prior to this, they were a Consultant at Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls Independent Consulting from March 2010 to March 2011. Michael was also a Scientist, Biologics and Pharmaceutical Analysis at Cardiome from November 2006 to February 2010, and Manager of Pharmaceutical Development at Active Pass Pharmaceuticals from June 2005 to June 2006. Michael started their career as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow Research Team Leader at Mulzer Laboratoires, University of Vienna from September 2002 to May 2004.

Michael Gilbert first attended St. Matthew's before going on to the University of Ottawa for their Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry-Nutrition. Michael then completed a Certificate in Business Administration with a focus on Operations management at Thompson Rivers University. Finally, they completed their PhD in Medicinal Organic Chemistry at The University of British Columbia.
