Jacob Powers

Jacob Powers has a diverse work experience that spans across various companies and roles. Jacob started their career as a BRSS-TACS Project Lead at the RECOVER Project in 2008 and held this position until 2013. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Oregon. Jacob then worked as a Communications Specialist at Cascade Alliance from July 2017 to January 2018. Following this, they became an Adjunct Instructor of Creative Writing at the University of Oregon from September 2017 to October 2018. In 2018, they joined the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown as a Fiction Fellow, a role that they held until June 2019. Jacob also has experience as a Freelance Copywriter at Anvil Writing Studio since 2017 and currently works as a Content Writer at Semrush starting from August 2021.

Jacob Powers completed their Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Greenfield Community College in the years 2008 to 2010. Jacob then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Amherst College, graduating in the years 2011 to 2013. Finally, Jacob completed their Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon from 2014 to 2016.
