Marcus Tober

Marcus Tober serves as the SVP of Enterprise Solutions and Managing Director at Semrush since January 2022. Prior to this, Marcus held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Webgenau GmbH from February 2021 to January 2022 and acted as Interim Team Lead for SEO at AutoScout24 in 2021, where involvement included developing a long-term SEO strategy. Marcus was a Member of the Board of Advisors for Business Keeper (part of EQS Group) in early 2021 and devoted over 16 years to Searchmetrics, which Marcus co-founded in 2005 and expanded into a leading SEO SaaS platform. Marcus’s entrepreneurial journey includes founding Ecards and more GmbH, a popular online greeting card service, and a prior role as an SEO Specialist at Idealo Internet GmbH. Educational qualifications comprise a Diploma in Computer Science from Berlin University of Applied Sciences and a degree in Multimedia Production from the School of Audio Engineering.
