Aamir Gulistan

Aamir Gulistan, PhD, is a Senior Staff Application Engineer at Semtech, focusing on Signal Integrity solutions, including laser drivers and transimpedance amplifiers, since May 2023. Previously, Aamir served as a Sensor Development Engineer at Fotech Group, developing optical fiber sensing products from April 2022 to April 2023, and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Simula Research Laboratory, investigating security issues in optical networks from December 2019 to April 2022. Aamir held a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at City, University of London, from September 2015 to December 2019, specializing in nonlinear effects in optical waveguides while also contributing as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Visiting Hourly Paid Lecturer. Aamir began a career as an Operations Engineer at Nayatel Pvt. Ltd, providing support for IP services. Aamir holds a PhD in Photonics from City St George’s, University of London, along with a Master's Degree in Telecommunication and Computer Networks from NUST, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from CASE, and a Nanodegree in Deep Learning from Udacity.
