Aleksei Shustov

Aleksei Shustov is a seasoned digital designer and FPGA engineer with extensive experience in wireless communication technologies. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Digital Designer at Semtech since January 2025, Aleksei previously held the position of Principal FPGA Engineer at KATIM, where responsibilities included roles as a Senior FPGA Engineer. Aleksei's earlier career at Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University involved leadership as FPGA / Algorithms Team Lead, managing development teams and architecting complex digital systems for underwater communication networks. Additional roles, including Senior FPGA / Wireless Engineer and FPGA / Wireless Engineer, focused on advanced algorithm development and FPGA-based solutions for underwater communication systems. Aleksei began professional training with a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Saint Petersburg State Marine Technical University, complementing work at JSK "Concern "Gidropribor" as an FPGA/DSP Engineer.
