Martin Smith, MBA has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Martin is currently the Director of Business Development - BlueRiver/Aptovision at Semtech, where they are responsible for driving business growth. Prior to this, they served as the Secretary of the SDVoE Board at the SDVoE Alliance.

Martin's previous experience includes working at Liberty AV Solutions, where they were the Director of Business Development. Martin successfully turned around a declining business by launching and managing a new function within the organization. Martin also played a key role in analyzing market opportunities and establishing the growth engine of the company.

Before joining Liberty AV Solutions, Martin worked at Inneos as the Director of Global Business Development. Martin reshaped the focus of the company and created a market for a failed product. Martin also served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Inneos, where they were responsible for growing the business globally.

Martin also has experience working at Omron Electronic Components, both in the Americas and globally. Martin held various roles, including Director of Marketing and Product Manager/Strategic Accounts Manager. Their work at Omron included developing new markets and building partnerships with companies like Agilent.

Martin began their career as a Sales Engineer at Omron, where they excelled in resolving customer's business problems and surpassing expectations. Throughout their career, Martin has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive business growth.

Martin Smith holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in High Tech Management from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Martin also has an MBA degree with a specialization in Technology and Innovation Management from the same institution. Additionally, Martin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Colorado Boulder, with an emphasis on Optoelectronics.
