Milind Dere

Milind Dere has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies. MILIND currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Semtech since 2022. In this role, they lead teams responsible for building module engineering and Linux/Windows host software teams for 5G IoT modules.

Prior to joining Semtech, Milind worked at Veritas Technologies LLC from 2019 to 2022 as a Senior Manager of Development. MILIND managed teams focusing on hardware appliance and software-defined storage engineering, specifically in support-ability infrastructure and the development of VERITAS operating system.

From 2016 to 2019, Milind served as a Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager at Seagate Technology. MILIND led the firmware team, specializing in enclosure management firmware, and was responsible for people management, program and project management, and embedded firmware design and development.

Before that, Milind worked at QualEx Systems Pvt Ltd from 2013 to 2016 as a System Consultant. MILIND played a crucial role in building the firmware team for a comprehensive firmware project, overseeing people management, program and project management, and embedded firmware design and development.

Milind also gained experience at Infosys as a Sr. Tech Architect in 2012 and at Persistent Systems in various roles such as Technical Specialist, Project Lead, and Team Lead from 2006 to 2012. Additionally, they worked at Intel as a Technical Specialist from 2010 to 2012, at CMS Computers Limited as an R&D Engineer from 2003 to 2006, at Spectralab Instruments Pvt. Ltd as an R&D Executive from 2001 to 2003, and at Videocon Exports Ltd as an Engineer-1 from 1998 to 2000.
