Patrick van Eijk

Patrick van Eijk has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the technology industry. Patrick started their career in 1999 at Vitesse Semiconductor Corp, where they served as a Principal Field Applications Engineer, providing technical sales and marketing support for Ethernet, Network, and Storage products in the US Northeast.

In 2007, they joined Cortina Systems as a Principal FAE and later became a Sales Manager, focusing on Transport and Access Customers on the Eastern Seaboard. Patrick managed five manufacturer's representative firms and worked with notable companies such as Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Ciena, and Juniper.

In 2010, Patrick joined UR Group as the VP of Sales and Marketing for North America. Patrick played a vital role in growing the business by 100% year-over-year, particularly in the areas of test interconnect applications and high-speed semiconductor devices.

Currently, Patrick is with Semtech, where they have held various positions since 2016. Patrick initially served as the Director of LoRa Business Development before being promoted to Senior Director. In their current role, they are responsible for global business development for Semtech's Optical Products, with a particular focus on the LoRa technology.

Throughout their career, Patrick has demonstrated strong sales, marketing, business development, and technical support skills, contributing to the success and growth of the companies they have worked for.

Patrick van Eijk holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a focus on Semiconductor Device Physics and Design from UCLA. Patrick also has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) from the University of Twente. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Introduction to Magma: Cloud Native Wireless Networking from edX in 2022.
