Thierry Melly

Thierry Melly has a strong background in executive management and technical leadership. Thierry has worked for several companies, including Semtech, SiGear Inc., Télécabine Zinal-Sorebois SA (TZS), Xceive Europe, and CSEM. At Semtech, they served as the Vice President of Wireless ICs & Systems, where they managed financials, hiring, and legal matters. Thierry was also responsible for defining the roadmap and products for various product lines. Prior to that, they held the role of Sr. Director of Wireless ICs and Systems, overseeing product realization and managing R&D projects. At SiGear Inc., they were a Co-Founder and Head of RF and analog technical developments. Thierry developed methodologies for self-testing in mass production and managed the patents strategy. Melly also served as a board member at Télécabine Zinal-Sorebois SA, a ski lift company. Thierry was the Managing Director of Xceive Europe, creating and managing the European subsidiary. At CSEM, they worked as a Senior Project Leader, providing technical leadership and project management for various projects. Thierry also served as a system architect and analog RF designer.

Thierry Melly earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Sion, from 1989 to 1992. Thierry then pursued an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1993 to 1996. Thierry Melly achieved a Ph.D. in RF IC system & design from EPFL from 1996 to 2000. Thierry also obtained a Swiss Mountain Guides Association degree in Sports and Exercise from Mountain Guide UIAGM from 1992 to 1994.
